Personnel Planner for Local Police Area Kristianstad

Police Region South is organized into five police areas divided into 20 local police areas and four regional units: the operational unit, the intelligence unit, the investigation unit, and border police. The regional office and the national departments represented in the region provide support to police operations.

The police area of Blekinge in northeastern Skåne is divided into four local police areas: LPO Kristianstad, LPO Hässleholm, LPO Karlskrona, and LPO Karlshamn.

We are now looking for a personnel planner for the local police area Kristianstad, which is the main town for the police area of Blekinge in northeastern Skåne and consists of the intervention unit, area police unit, investigation unit, traffic unit, dog unit, as well as units for internal and external service. The base location is the Rättscentrum Kristianstad. The personnel planning function is part of internal service.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a personnel planner, you will primarily work with administration regarding operational work schedule planning and planning of personnel resources according to operational needs. You will be responsible for your own ongoing work and for the joint tasks of the work group. You will be responsible for optimizing personnel resources, calculating duty rosters, staffing personnel, and vacation planning. You will also be involved in driving and developing LPO Kristianstad's resource planning and in developing methods and systems that benefit the operation. You will work together with a previously recruited planner. You will be part of the local police area's management team.

The responsibilities of the Personnel Planner include:

  • Continuously manage daily resources and ensure that the right level is available in the section's operations.
  • Ongoing management of work schedule changes, leave, and other absences.
  • Be responsible for personnel planning, both short-term and long-term, and work strategically with resource planning.
  • Answer questions regarding work schedule arrangements and other questions related to the work schedule agreement.
  • Be proactive in the planning work and actively work to develop methods and systems to optimize resources in relation to operations and finances.
  • Prepare personnel allocations for interventions, both local, area-wide, and regional.
  • Inventory training needs, allocation of assigned places, and training administration.
  • Work for effective resource utilization in collaboration with the police area's operational coordinators and police intervention leaders.

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer.
  • Very good computer skills, especially regarding the Office package, particularly Excel.
  • Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
  • Swedish B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience in personnel planning and personnel administration.
  • Experience and knowledge of the regulations governing working hours and various leaves.
  • Work experience in administration within a larger organization.
  • Experience in participating in management forums.
